Baby Girl,
You turn TWO today.
How is being TWO different from one?
Many ways.
You are twice as talkative. Your vocabulary is getting larger by the day (thanks to Pocoyo and Little Einstein). We are tickled pink by the seemingly ordinary words you are learning each day like when you said “Hi guys” to your Amachi and aunt. Or the time when you got stuck and you hollered “Help, please help me!”
You are twice as active. Before, you had to watch your steps, one foot placed after another carefully while maintaining balance. You toddled along, and sometimes, when you are too excited to remember that you are not yet two, you land on your bum-bum. But now, not only are you able to run, you are also able to dance, jump, push, climb, pull, carry, chase, wriggle, tickle… yeah, you get the drift.
You are twice as naughty. You don’t like to play by the rules, you make the rules. You are very independent, and want to do everything yourself. You get impatient when we try to help you. Each time, I bet you were thinking “what’s with these old fogies? I am, after all, two already.”
You are twice as beautiful. From the time you were born, it was obvious you’re a looker. What’s amazing is the transformation you have been through from the time you were born, as if you wear a new look every season. All winning looks. Each time we think you can’t get any more beautiful, you prove us wrong.
You are twice as smart. You know exactly who to bully, how to be all quiet and demure when you have done something naughty. You know how to give your Mommy a fuzzy warm feeling by rushing to her even though you have not seen her for more than a month. You know you have all of us wrapped around your tiny fingers, and boy do you know how to milk it for all it’s worth.
But most importantly, you are LOVED many times over.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl.
Love you lots,
Mommy
